History

Former Pastor, Elder J. C. McLeod became the Superintendent of the formerly named Dothan District in March of 1981. The District was renamed in honor of Superintendent McLeod and the late Superintendent Elder M. W. Davis. The District is now named the Davis/McLeod District. Superintendent McLeod is the pastor of the following churches: Church of God in Christ #1 - Dothan, AL, and Abbeville Memorial - Abbeville, AL. He presently serves as the 1st Administrative Assistant to the Bishop of the State of Alabama Jurisdiction one.
